On Friday October 26th, Hayley, Ornob and Beata in partnership with the Australian Yoga Academy will hold space for deep rest and rejuvenation through intentional sequencing of restorative Yin, Sound and iRest Yoga Nidra. 100% of funds raised go directly towards the continued facilitation of State of Being's Atherton Gardens Yoga Project.
What is the Atherton Yoga Project?
The Atherton Gardens Community Yoga Project is a yoga program for families living in the Atherton Gardens Estate, designed and facilitated by State of Being, and hosted by Cubbies (Fitzroy Adventure Playground). This program utilises the principles of trauma-informed and mindfulness-based yoga to meet the needs of the community. Through a range of fundraising endeavours, we are aiming to raise enough funds to enable one year of consistent programming for this project, including facilitation and evaluation.
What is a Self-Care Session?
State of Being Self-Care Sessions acknowledge the interconnectedness of personal wellbeing and community wellbeing. These sessions provide an opportunity to connect with and support our local community, whilst also supporting our own health and wellbeing.
State of Being’s Yin, Sound and iRest Yoga Nidra session offers a restorative Yin sequence accompanied by the meditative sounds of live Sarod (ancient Indian instrument) and guided iRrest Yoga Nidra for deep rest and rejuvenation.
Wear whatever is comfortable, no flexibility or yoga experience required. Everyone is welcome!
