In 2018, we launched the Atherton Gardens Community Yoga Project (AGCYP) in Fitzroy. This project delivers dual programming to young girls aged 10-14 years, and their mums, carers and aunties. The AGCYP developed from a self-identified need in the Atherton Gardens community, with both young girls and women requesting yoga classes to assist with mindfulness, stress release and physical wellbeing.

From it's first week, the program was immensely popular (we had over 35 attendees for our first session!), leading to the development of two separate classes - one for young girls, and one for their mums, carers and aunties.

If you are interested in contributing towards or sponsoring the continued delivery and development of the Atherton Gardens Community Yoga Project, you are welcome to connect with us by clicking here.

This program is currently supported in-part by Save the Children, who donate the use of their space, Cubbies for our weekly sessions.
